In24News also had an item on Dharavi bracing itself for the impact of virus:
You went to the library and found an empty bookshelf about slums?
Informal settlement, squatter settlements, slums, favelas, barrios and bidonvilles are the home of over a billion people. Surprisingly, little of its architecture is documented. Planners and designers are more focused on changing it and finding 'solutions'. But wait a minute, do we know what we are talking about? Do we really know what slums are? Do we know how they work? Do we understand slum dwellers?
Architecture inhabited by so many people deserves a proper place in the architecture library. It is time to look at what is there and discover the logic of it all. There IS logic, it all makes perfect sense.
